Fans of the supernatural romance anime Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- can rejoice as Season 2 is officially set to premiere its English dub on October 15. The highly anticipated return will see familiar voices reprise their roles, bringing Aoi’s culinary adventures in the spirit world back to life for Western audiences.

What is Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits-?

Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- (Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi) is an anime series based on a light novel series written by Midori Yūma and illustrated by Laruha. The story follows Aoi Tsubaki, a college student with the unique ability to see spirits, inherited from her grandfather. One day, she is whisked away to the Hidden Realm (Kakuriyo) by an Ogre-God, Ōdanna, who claims she must marry him to pay off her grandfather’s substantial debt. Refusing this proposition, Aoi instead opts to work at Ōdanna’s inn, the Tenjin-ya, as a cook to earn her way back to the human world and settle her grandfather’s debt through her culinary skills.

The first season of the anime, animated by studio Gonzo, originally premiered in April 2018.

English Dub Cast for Season 2

While specific details for the entire English dub cast for Season 2 are still emerging, it is expected that the main cast will return to voice their beloved characters. In the original Japanese version, the voice cast includes Nao Tōyama as Aoi Tsubaki, Katsuyuki Konishi as Ōdanna, and Shun’ichi Toki as Ginji. Other notable Japanese cast members include Ai Kakuma as Oryō, Yūma Uchida as Akatsuki, Atsushi Tamaru as Byakuya, and Manaka Iwami as Chibi. An English dub for the first season was previously released, and the continuation of these roles is highly anticipated for the upcoming season.

Season 2 Release Date and Where to Watch

The English dub for Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- Season 2 is scheduled to debut on October 15. Further information regarding streaming platforms and regional availability will likely be announced closer to the release date. Fans should keep an eye on official anime news outlets and streaming service announcements for specific details on where to catch Aoi’s continuing journey. The second season is set to premiere in Autumn 2025.

The Continuing Culinary Adventures in the Hidden Realm

Season 2 is expected to continue Aoi’s journey as she navigates the complexities of the Hidden Realm, encountering various ayakashi (spirits) and utilizing her exceptional cooking to win them over and manage the Tenjin-ya. Her efforts to pay off her grandfather’s debt and her evolving relationships with Ōdanna, Ginji, and the other inhabitants of the spirit world are central to the narrative. The series blends elements of supernatural fantasy, romance, and gourmet cooking, creating a unique and engaging experience for viewers.
