The new manga were rolled out on the platform this past Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, offering fresh content for readers worldwide.
New Additions Highlight Diverse Genres
The latest update to the Manga Up! Global service brings a variety of genres to subscribers, from heartwarming rom-coms to enchanting fantasy. Each new series introduces unique premises and compelling characters, enriching the platform’s already extensive collection.
Kurimiya’s Hebigami Transforms When He’s Cold Joins the Ranks
One of the highlighted new series is Kurimiya’s Hebigami Transforms When He’s Cold (also known as Hebigami-kun wa Samui to Henshin Shi Chaukara). This manga is described as a “slow-burn, heartwarming, and youthful romcom” that centers on a nonhuman boy and an ordinary high school girl.
The story follows Hebigami, a new transfer student who possesses a peculiar condition: he transforms into a snake whenever he gets cold. Despite the fear he inspires in his classmates due to his mysterious aura, his seatmate Haruna discovers his true kind nature. Recognizing his inability to return to his human form until his body temperature rises, Haruna takes it upon herself to help warm him up.
Kurimiya initially published a one-shot version of the manga on Shinchosha’s Kurage Bunch website in September 2023, before it began serialization on Gangan Online. Square Enix released the first compiled volume of the manga on April 22.
The Ice Mage’s Unrequited Love was Me in Disguise Debuts
Another significant addition is Guntao’s manga adaptation of Shusui Hazuki’s light novel, The Ice Mage’s Unrequited Love was Me in Disguise (“Kimi o Aisuru Koto wanai” to Itta Kōri no Majutsushi-sama). This series is characterized as a “pure love comedy featuring a relentlessly optimistic noble lady and a positively frigid mage.”
The plot revolves around Fiene, a count’s daughter who lives a double life as the kingdom’s most powerful witch. She enters a political marriage with the handsome future duke, Sion, who declares he will never love her. Fiene initially welcomes the arrangement, as it allows both to pursue their own paths, only to later discover that Sion’s affections are secretly directed towards her witch persona.
Guntao launched the manga on Square Enix’s Gangan Online in June 2024, with the second compiled volume shipped by the company on May 12. The original story by Shusui Hazuki ran on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website from October 2022 to February 2024, and Square Enix published a novel volume with illustrations by toi8 in April 2023.
As Miss Beelzebub Likes Also Added
Adding further depth to its expanding catalog, Manga Up! Global also introduced matoba’s popular series, As Miss Beelzebub Likes. The manga is also published in print by Yen Press.
