The upcoming anime adaptation of The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter (Isekai no Sata wa Shachiku Shidai) has revealed additional cast members, building anticipation for its January 2026 premiere. The series, based on Wakatsu Yatsuki and Kikka Ohashi’s popular isekai BL light novel, previously announced key voice actors and staff.

Key Cast Members Revealed for the Isekai BL Series
The latest announcements confirm the voices behind several pivotal characters, joining the previously revealed leads. The anime’s official teaser visual and promotional video have introduced viewers to the main characters and hinted at the unique blend of otherworld adventure, workplace drama, and Boys’ Love romance.
Reprising Roles: Kento Ito and Tomoaki Maeno Lead the Cast
Kento Ito will voice the protagonist, Seiichiro Kondo, a 29-year-old workaholic accountant accidentally transported to another world. Despite his new surroundings, Seiichiro’s dedication to his work remains, leading him to join the royal accounting department.
Tomoaki Maeno is cast as Aresh Indrak, the “handsome Commander Aresh” of the Third Knights’ Order, who develops an unexpected relationship with Seiichiro. Both Ito and Maeno are reprising their roles from a previous voice comic PV, expressing excitement to bring their characters to the anime format.

Akira Yamada serves as assistant director, while Maki Fujii is responsible for character designs. The music for the series is being composed by Megumi Ohashi, with Nippon Columbia producing the music.

The story centers on Seiichiro Kondou, a 29-year-old accountant who finds himself transported to the Romany Kingdom. Despite the kingdom’s offer to cover his living expenses as compensation, his inherent work ethic drives him to seek employment in the Royal Accounting Department. There, he encounters Commander Aresh Indrak, leading to an unexpected and unique relationship that unfolds amidst his efforts to streamline the royal finances.
