A Look Back at ‘Jaa, Kimi no Kawari ni Korosō ka?’
Jaa, Kimi no Kawari ni Korosō ka? launched in Akita Shoten’s Bessatsu Young Champion magazine in November 2018. The series centers on Yūma Fujikura, a first-year high school student who endures constant bullying. His life takes a drastic turn when a classmate named Ryō Ameri, often nicknamed “Amelie,” intervenes to help him. Despite Yūma’s plea for Amelie to disengage to avoid becoming a target himself, Amelie responds with a chilling offer: “Should I commit murder in your stead if you wanted?”
Sōsō Sakakibara handles the artwork for the manga, while Yukiaki Kurando is responsible for the story. Akita Shoten has been publishing the manga’s compiled book volumes, with the 11th volume released on August 20. The manga is known for its psychological, mystery, and drama genres, exploring themes of bullying and revenge.
