Dive into New Worlds: Two Distinct Manga Offerings
The release introduces readers to diverse narratives, catering to different preferences within the manga community. Kadokawa, a prominent Japanese publisher known for its extensive range of manga, light novels, and multimedia projects, continues to expand its global digital catalog with these new additions.
“Stay Away from My Sons! The Almighty Boys’ Love Author Fends Off the Villainess Stan”
This unique boys’ love (BL) title, penned by MJiffy with art by Kiiran, offers a metatextual twist on the genre. The story follows an author whose beloved BL work, “The Odd-Eyed Butler,” is finally getting an anime adaptation. However, the author finds themselves in a heated online debate with a fan who aggressively ships a dominant character with the story’s villainess, rather than the intended “uke” (submissive) butler character.
A sudden electric shock leads to the author’s reincarnation as the very uke butler from their own story. To complicate matters further, the “Fan of the Count’s Daughter” is also reincarnated as the count’s daughter herself and begins making moves on the viscount, aiming to rewrite the narrative. The manga revolves around the author’s struggle to protect their characters and the original story from this unexpected interference. The initial chapters are available on platforms like BookWalker Global.
“The Villainess Is Adored by the Prince of the Neighbor Kingdom”
Originally a popular light novel series by Puni-chan and illustrated by Akeno Naruse, “The Villainess Is Adored by the Prince of the Neighbor Kingdom” (Japanese: Akuyaku Reijō wa Ringoku no Ōtaishi ni Dekiai Sareru) now sees its manga adaptation released in English. The manga adaptation is illustrated by Hoshina and began serialization in December 2017 on Enterbrain’s B’s Log Comic service. As of September 2025, it has been compiled into 16 tankōbon volumes.
The plot centers on a Japanese woman who is reincarnated as Tiararose Lapis Clementille, the antagonist in an otome game called “Lapis Lazuli Ring.” Believing she is destined for exile after falling out of favor with her fiancé, Hartknights Lapis-Lazuli Lacmouth, her fate takes an unexpected turn. She is saved when Aquasteed Marineforest, the crown prince of a neighboring country, proposes to her, an event not present in the original game scenario.
This series has garnered significant popularity, leading to various adaptations. The light novel series has 14 volumes as of November 2023. A visual novel adaptation for Nintendo Switch and Steam was released in March 2024. Furthermore, an anime television series adaptation, produced by Studio Deen, is slated to premiere in January 2026. The anime adaptation has already revealed character art for its main characters.
