Minami Mizuno’s romantic comedy manga, Ao Haru Sō e Yōkoso (Welcome to Apartment Aoharu), officially concluded its run with the publication of its final chapter in Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret magazine. The final chapter appeared in the December issue, which was released last Thursday. The series’ eighth and final compiled book volume is set to ship on December 24.
The Journey of Ao Haru Sō e Yōkoso
Ao Haru Sō e Yōkoso first launched in Bessatsu Margaret in February 2023, quickly captivating readers with its endearing premise and relatable characters. The story centers on a dormitory, Aoharu-sō, where five high school boys with distinct personalities reside. As they navigate their daily lives, the manga explores various incidents, the complexities of love, and the vibrant experiences of their youth. The manga’s seventh volume was released on August 25.
Minami Mizuno’s Esteemed Career
Minami Mizuno is a well-regarded mangaka known for her contributions to the shoujo genre. Before Ao Haru Sō e Yōkoso, she gained significant recognition for her work on Rainbow Days (Nijiiro Days), which ran from 2012 to 2017 in Bessatsu Margaret. Rainbow Days received a drama CD and inspired a television anime adaptation that premiered in 2016.
Mizuno’s other notable works include Koi o Shiranai Boku-tachi wa (We Who Know Nothing of Love), which serialized from 2018 to 2021, and Hiiragi-senpai to Ofutari-sama (Together With Upperclassman Hiiragi), which ran from 2021 to 2022.
