The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the Chained Soldier (also known as Mato Seihei no Slave) anime has announced that popular voice actress and singer Maaya Uchida will perform the second ending theme song for the upcoming second season. The track is titled “LOVE LOVE Beam” and will feature in the anime’s second half, with the new season set to premiere on January 8, 2026.
This marks Uchida’s continued involvement with the series, as she also voices the character Tenka Izumo in the anime.
Expanding the Musical Landscape of Chained Soldier Season 2
The announcement of “LOVE LOVE Beam” adds another exciting musical layer to the highly anticipated second season. Prior to this, it was revealed that Akari Kitō will perform the opening theme song, “Hikari yo, Boku ni.” Additionally, Kana Hanazawa, another prominent voice actress, is slated to perform the first ending theme song, “Cipher Cipher,” arranged by Polkadot Stingray. The involvement of multiple renowned artists for the theme songs underscores the production’s commitment to enhancing the viewing experience.
Maaya Uchida previously performed the first season’s ending theme song, “CHA∞IN.”
Production Details and Premiere
Chained Soldier Season 2 is scheduled to begin airing on January 8, 2026, across various Japanese channels including Tokyo MX, BS Asahi, MBS, and AT-X. The new season will also be available for streaming on HIDIVE in select territories, similar to its predecessor.
The production of the second season sees a change in animation studios, with Passione and Hayabusa Film now handling the animation, taking over from Seven Arcs, which produced the first season. Masafumi Tamura (known for The World’s Finest Assassin and Wise Man’s Grandchild) is directing the anime, with Keiya Nakano (AOKANA: Four Rhythm Across the Blue) designing the characters. Yasuhiro Nakanishi is in charge of the series composition and is also among the scriptwriters. Kohta Yamamoto is composing the music for the series.
The Story of Chained Soldier
Based on the dark fantasy action manga written by Takahiro and illustrated by Yōhei Takemura, Chained Soldier is set in a world where mysterious gates to a dangerous dimension called Mato have appeared across Japan. These gates unleash monstrous creatures known as Yomotsu Shuuki. Unique abilities, derived from “peaches” growing in the Mato, are granted exclusively to women, leading to the formation of the Anti-Demon Corps.
The story follows Yuuki Wakura, a high school boy who finds himself caught in a Mato gate and is rescued by Kyōka Uzen, the beautiful commander of the 7th squad of the Demon Defense Force. Kyōka discovers that Yuuki possesses a unique power to enhance the abilities of the “peaches” but, in exchange, he must become her “slave” to join the fight against the monstrous threat. The second season is expected to delve into new arcs, introducing more commanders and exploring the political dynamics within the Demon Defense Force.
