About “The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter”
The anime is based on the boys-love light novel series written by Yatsuki Wakatsu and illustrated by Kikka Ohashi. The story follows Seiichirou Kondou, a 29-year-old accountant who, after being accidentally transported to another world during a saint-summoning ritual, finds himself working in the Royal Accounting Department. Despite his workaholic tendencies, he discovers a unique “physical relationship” with Commander Aresh Indrak, which becomes essential for his survival in this magic-infused world. The light novel series began in February 2019, following an online serialization, and Yen Press releases both the light novel and its manga adaptation in English.
