Fans of the Bleach franchise can mark their calendars as “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity,” the highly anticipated fourth and final cour of the anime adaptation, is officially set to premiere in July 2026. The announcement was made alongside the unveiling of a new teaser trailer at Jump Festa 2026, which also confirmed the return of key voice cast members and staff.

Jump Festa 2026 Highlights: A Glimpse into “The Calamity”

The reveal at Jump Festa 2026 provided an exciting update for the global Bleach fandom, ending speculation on the release window for the concluding chapter of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc. The teaser trailer offered a sneak peek into the final battles, igniting anticipation for the anime’s grand finale.

The presentation at Jump Festa featured prominent voice actors who are integral to the Bleach universe. Masakazu Morita, the voice of protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki, was present alongside Noriaki Sugiyama (Uryu Ishida), Yuki Matsuoka (Orihime Inoue), and Hiroki Yasumoto (Yasutora Sado). Their presence reinforced the continuity of the beloved core cast as the story heads towards its climax.

Core Cast and Creative Staff Return for the Epic Conclusion

The final cour will see the return of the familiar voices that have brought Tite Kubo’s characters to life. While a full list of returning cast members is extensive, the panelists at Jump Festa confirmed the active involvement of the main quartet, assuring fans of the authentic portrayal of their favorite characters.

Behind the scenes, the established creative team is also slated to return to ensure a consistent and high-quality adaptation. Tomohisa Taguchi, who has directed the prior cours of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, is expected to continue his role, with Masaki Hiramatsu also returning as a scriptwriter. Character design will again be handled by Masashi Kudo, while Shirō Sagisu will continue to compose the evocative musical score. Studio Pierrot, through its Pierrot Films label, remains at the helm of animation production, promising to deliver the dynamic action and emotional depth the series is known for.

The Final Arc: “The Calamity” Promises More Original Content

“The Calamity” (禍進譚, Kashin-tan) marks the culmination of the Thousand-Year Blood War saga, which adapts the final arc of Tite Kubo’s original manga. This arc has been divided into four cours, with “The Blood Warfare” premiering in October 2022, “The Separation” in July 2023, and “The Conflict” in October 2024.

A significant detail confirmed for this final part is the inclusion of even more anime-original content, which has been overseen by Tite Kubo himself. This additional material is expected to expand upon the manga’s ending, offering new perspectives and enriching the narrative for long-time fans. The anime adaptation has been praised for its faithfulness to the source material while also enhancing certain aspects with added scenes and improved animation.

Where to Watch “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War”

For viewers in the United States, “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War” is available for streaming on Hulu. International audiences outside of Asia can catch the series on Disney+. This widespread availability ensures that fans across the globe can experience Ichigo Kurosaki’s ultimate battle against Yhwach and the Wandenreich. The impending debut of “The Calamity” in July 2026 sets the stage for a monumental conclusion to a beloved anime epic.
