About “In the Clear Moonlit Dusk”
“In the Clear Moonlit Dusk” is based on the popular shōjo manga by Mika Yamamori, which began serialization in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine in July 2020. Kodansha USA publishes an English language version of the manga.
The story centers on Yoi Takiguchi, a high school girl often admired and nicknamed “Prince” due to her tall stature, deep voice, and handsome appearance, which often leads people to overlook that she is, in fact, a girl. Her life takes a turn when she encounters Kohaku Ichimura, an upperclassman who is also known as a “prince.” The anime promises to explore a straightforward yet often awkward youth romance between these two “princes.” The manga has been praised for its elegant artwork, mature emotional tone, and progressive portrayal of gender expression.
