The official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Mika Yamamori’s romance manga, “In the Clear Moonlit Dusk” (Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki), has released its second promotional video, revealing additional cast members and confirming a January 11, 2026 premiere date. The new trailer offers a deeper look into the series, while also announcing voice actors Kensho Ono and Kenjiro Tsuda in key roles.

Premiere Details and Streaming Information

The “In the Clear Moonlit Dusk” anime is officially slated to begin broadcasting on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 4:30 PM JST. It will air across 28 TBS affiliated stations nationwide in Japan. For international viewers, Crunchyroll has confirmed it will stream the series, making it accessible shortly after its Japanese broadcast.

Expanding the Cast: New Voices Join the “Prince” Romance

The recently released second promotional video highlighted two significant additions to the anime’s voice cast, bringing more depth to the “Clear Moonlit Dusk” narrative.

Kensho Ono as Takuto Onji

Kensho Ono, known for his versatile roles, will lend his voice to Takuto Onji, a character described as the “third prince” in the story. Ono expressed his excitement for the role, noting the delicate expressions and movements of the characters that draw readers deeper into the story.

Kenjiro Tsuda as Yoi’s Father

Acclaimed voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda has been cast as Yoi Takiguchi’s father. Tsuda’s involvement adds another layer of anticipation for the series, promising a compelling performance for the familial role.

These new cast members join the previously announced ensemble, further building excitement for the anime’s debut.

Previously Announced Cast and Production Team

The core cast bringing the beloved manga characters to life was announced earlier, featuring prominent voice actors for the central roles.

Main Character Voice Actors

  • Rei Ichinomiya as Yoi Takiguchi
  • Ryōta Suzuki as Kohaku Ichimura

Supporting Cast

  • Aya Yamane as Nobara Tone
  • Momoko Seto as Kotobuki Hibiya
  • Shota Hayama as Sentaro Akane
  • Kentaro Kumagai as Shun Kuwabatake

Key Staff Behind the Adaptation

The anime is being produced by East Fish Studio, with a talented team at the helm:

  • Director: Yūsuke Maruyama
  • Series Composition: Ayumu Hisao
  • Character Design: Yuki Fukuda
  • Music Composition: Tsubasa Ito

Theme Songs and Musical Direction

UNISON SQUARE GARDEN is performing both the opening and ending theme songs for the series. The opening theme is titled “Uruwashi” (Beautiful), while the ending theme is “Azalea no Kaze” (Azalea Wind). The second promotional video offered a first listen to the ending theme, showcasing Yoi’s internal conflict and Kohaku’s emotions.

About “In the Clear Moonlit Dusk”

“In the Clear Moonlit Dusk” is based on the popular shōjo manga by Mika Yamamori, which began serialization in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine in July 2020. Kodansha USA publishes an English language version of the manga.

The story centers on Yoi Takiguchi, a high school girl often admired and nicknamed “Prince” due to her tall stature, deep voice, and handsome appearance, which often leads people to overlook that she is, in fact, a girl. Her life takes a turn when she encounters Kohaku Ichimura, an upperclassman who is also known as a “prince.” The anime promises to explore a straightforward yet often awkward youth romance between these two “princes.” The manga has been praised for its elegant artwork, mature emotional tone, and progressive portrayal of gender expression.
