The highly anticipated new anime series, “Iya na Kao Sare Nagara Opantsu Misete Moraitai R,” also known as “I Want You To Make a Disgusted Face and Show Me Your Underwear Returns,” is officially set to premiere in Spring 2026. This announcement confirms the continuation of the popular doujin project’s animated adaptation, much to the excitement of its fanbase.
Returning Staff and Cast for the Latest Installment
Fans can expect a familiar creative team to steer the new season. Saya Fukase will once again direct the anime at returning studio UWAN Pictures, a studio that has handled previous iterations of the series. The original creator, Shimahara, is also credited for the original work and general supervision, ensuring consistency with the source material.
The lead voice actress, Shizuka Ishigami, is confirmed to return to her role. She will be joined by other returning cast members, including Aoi Koga, Chinatsu Akasaki, Haruka Yoshimura, Sawako Hata, and Yuki Nagano, reprising their roles from earlier seasons.
A Decade of “Disgusted Faces and Underwear”
The upcoming “R” series marks a significant milestone, commemorating the 10th anniversary of 40-hara’s original doujin project. The project, which began in December 2015, has garnered a substantial following over the years. Its premise revolves around various women in different costumes reluctantly revealing their underwear with a disgusted expression.
Previous Animated Adaptations and Project Growth
The “Iya na Kao Sare Nagara Opantsu Misete Moraitai” series has seen several animated releases prior to this upcoming “R” installment. The first anime season aired from July to August 2018, featuring six short episodes. A second season followed, releasing from November to December 2019, also comprising six episodes. Additionally, a sequel original video anime (OVA) episode was released in February 2023.
Beyond the anime, the franchise has expanded into various forms, including illustration collections, photo collections, and manga, with over 70,000 books in print. A manga adaptation titled “Iya na Kao Sare Nagara Opantsu Misete Moraitai – Yo wa Pantsu ga Mitai zo” also began serialization on Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump website and the YanJan! app in May 2019.
