Manga UP! Global has announced the addition of several new manga titles to its English-language platform, including Koume Fujichika’s “Supervillain Boy” and atro’s “Code of Misconduct.” These new series, alongside “I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level Spin-off: The Red Dragon Academy for Girls” and “She’s Drop-Dead Drunk,” rolled out over the past week, enriching the service’s diverse offerings for global readers.
Delving into “Supervillain Boy”
Koume Fujichika, known for “The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses,” brings a new narrative with “Supervillain Boy” (Daiakutō Shōnen). The manga was added to Manga UP! Global on Wednesday. The story introduces a protagonist disillusioned with the world around him—heroes with empty slogans, petty villains, and conformist classmates. Driven by a desire for change and a yearning to be aloof, noble, and strong, the boy embarks on a path to become the ultimate Supervillain. Fujichika originally launched the manga on Square Enix’s Manga UP! service in December 2024, with the third compiled volume shipping on December 5.
Unpacking “Code of Misconduct”
Released on December 25, “Code of Misconduct” by atro introduces a compelling Boys’ Love (BL) romance. The plot centers on Imari Shuuya, a 26-year-old high school teacher bound by a strict “in-school romance is forbidden” policy, with termination as the penalty for breaking it. A professional dedicated to his students, Shuuya believes teachers should not be distracted by love. However, his convictions are challenged by the school’s new nurse, Yotsumi Rio, a strikingly handsome 22-year-old who pursues him with “alarming devotion.” This dynamic sets up a cat-and-mouse romance between the straight-laced teacher and the “yandere” school nurse determined to win him over. atro’s completed manga first launched in 2024 on Manga UP! and Gangan Online, with Square Enix having shipped its second and final compiled volume on November 20.
Other Notable Additions to the Platform
Beyond these two highlighted titles, Manga UP! Global also expanded its catalog with “I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level Spin-off: The Red Dragon Academy for Girls,” which debuted on December 27. This spinoff, based on Kisetsu Morita’s light novel series, follows Laika as she attends an elite academy for dragon-girls, aiming to surpass her older sister. Additionally, “She’s Drop-Dead Drunk” has also joined the platform, further diversifying the content available to readers.
