Crunchyroll has officially announced the immediate English dub release for My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2, with the first dubbed episode set to stream on January 5, 2026, alongside its Japanese counterpart. This highly anticipated simultaneous launch brings the prequel series to English-speaking audiences with a returning and expanded voice cast.

Same-Day Dub Highlights Crunchyroll’s Commitment

The decision for a same-day English dub release underscores Crunchyroll’s ongoing efforts to provide immediate accessibility for global fans. This allows viewers to experience the continuation of Koichi Haimawari’s story without delay, following the Japanese premiere. The World of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes serves as a thrilling spin-off and prequel to Kōhei Horikoshi’s acclaimed My Hero Academia manga. Written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court, the manga series concluded in May 2022 after being serialized in Jump Giga and then Shonen Jump+.

The narrative unfolds five years prior to the events of the main series, focusing on Koichi Haimawari, a college student who, despite not being a licensed Pro Hero, uses his “Slippery” Quirk to perform minor acts of heroism. His life takes a significant turn when he encounters the street performer Pop☆Step and the powerful vigilante Knuckleduster, leading him down the path of unsanctioned crime-fighting.

The anime adaptation is directed by Kenichi Suzuki at BONES FILM, with series composition by Yosuke Kuroda. Yuki Hayashi, Shogo Yamashiro, and Yuki Furuhashi are responsible for the music. The first season premiered from April to June 2025, building anticipation for this second season. Fans can also read the manga in English via Viz Media.
