The first promotional video for “A Mangaka’s Weirdly Wonderful Workplace” (Egao no Taenai Shokuba Desu.) anime has revealed additional cast members, details on the ending theme, and a preview of the opening song. The anime is based on Kuzushiro’s manga series and is set to premiere in October 2025.
Unveiling More Cast Members
The promotional video announced three new additions to the anime’s cast. Yū Kobayashi will voice Arisa Nashida, a manga artist and senior to the protagonist Futami. Eriko Matsui joins as shogi player Tōko Kakunodate. Additionally, Miharu Hanai is cast as the assistant, Nekonote.
These new cast members will join the previously announced main cast:
- Yuko Natsuyoshi as Nana Futami
- Sora Amamiya as Kaede Sato
- Miku Ito as Mizuki Hazama
Theme Song Reveals
The first promotional video also provided details on the anime’s musical themes. The ending theme song will be titled “Thankful” and performed by Sizuk. Furthermore, the video offers a preview of the previously announced opening theme song, “Zettai Shōsan!” (Absolute Praise!).
The anime is being directed by Kaoru Suzuki at studio Voil. Mio Inoue is handling the series composition, while Kana Miyai is responsible for character designs. Music for the series is composed by Kei Haneoka and Hironori Doi. The story centers on Nana Futami, a rookie shojo manga artist navigating the challenges of her profession with the support of her editor and assistant.
