The ongoing manga series, A Ninja and an Assassin Under One Roof (Ninja to Koroshiya no Futarigurashi) by HundredBurger, is set to conclude with its seventh compiled book volume. The announcement was made in the sixth volume of the series, which was released recently.
The popular “deadly comedy slice of life” manga, which inspired an anime adaptation, has been serialized on Kadokawa’s Comic Dengeki DaiohG magazine website since August 2021. Seven Seas Entertainment licenses the manga for English publication, with the first volume released on December 16.
The Story of Satoko and Konoha
A Ninja and an Assassin Under One Roof introduces readers to an unlikely cohabitation between two distinct individuals. Satoko, a young ninja, finds herself on the run from her village after a misunderstanding. With nowhere else to turn, she ends up sharing a house with Konoha, a high school girl who secretly operates as a lethal assassin.
The premise revolves around their chaotic yet endearing partnership: Satoko relies on Konoha’s deadly skills for protection from the ninjas pursuing her, while Konoha tolerates Satoko due to her exceptional ability to clean up messes, both from Konoha’s assassination work and in their shared home. Their dynamic, a blend of dodging dangerous pursuers, everyday domesticity, and humor, forms the core of the series’ appeal.
Publication History and Anime Adaptation

The series garnered recognition with a nomination in the “Best Printed Manga” category for the “Next Manga Awards” in 2022.
The manga’s popularity led to an anime television series adaptation, which was produced by Shaft. The 12-episode anime debuted on April 10, 2025, and concluded its run on June 26, 2025. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired, making it accessible to a global audience. Looking Ahead for Fans

The series is known for its blend of black comedy and slice-of-life elements, offering a unique take on the ninja and assassin genres. The final volume is expected to wrap up the narrative threads and deliver a satisfying end to the story of these two unlikely roommates navigating their dangerous and domestic lives.
