Anime’s October 2025 Premiere

The A Wild Last Boss Appeared! anime is scheduled to premiere in October 2025. The anime adaptation was initially announced in August 2024. Ahead of its broadcast, a 174-second battle clip from the opening of the first episode was also released, further showcasing the animation.

About A Wild Last Boss Appeared!

The series is based on the light novel series written by Firehead and illustrated by YahaKo, which began serialization on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in October 2015 and concluded in April 2019. Earth Star Entertainment published the print edition from February 2016 to April 2019, compiling it into nine volumes.

A manga adaptation, illustrated by Tsubasa Hazuki, started serialization on Comic Earth Star’s website in June 2017 and is currently ongoing. Both the light novel and manga are licensed in English by J-Novel Club.

The story is set in the year 2800 and follows a man who wakes up in the body of his overpowered MMO character, Lufas Maphaahl—known as “The Black-Winged Tyrant” and leader of the “Twelve Heavenly Stars”—200 years after her defeat in a player-made event in the game Exgate Online. Now, stuck in Lufas’s body in a world that has become real, and with her legacy shrouded in fear, Lufas must journey to find answers, seek out comrades, and confront the monsters unleashed upon the world after her “death.”
