A star-studded collaboration featuring Kenkyo na Circle, the original creator behind 7th Prince’s Kenkyo na Circle; Shinya Murata, known for Killing Bites; and Tsuyoshi Watanabe of Dragons Rioting fame, has launched a new manga titled Kizuitara Musō Game no Akuyaku Shōgun Datta Ken. ~Hametsu Route wa Buttsubusu~ (That Time I Got Reincarnated as an Evil General in a Hack-and-Slash Game ~Destroy the Bad Ending~). The new series premiered last Friday on Hero’s Inc.’s Comiplex manga website.
The highly anticipated project sees Kenkyo na Circle credited for the original story, Shinya Murata handling the composition, and Tsuyoshi Watanabe contributing the artwork.
Diving into the New Isekai Adventure
The newly launched manga delves into an “isekai” (another world) narrative with a unique twist. The story centers on a protagonist who endures a demanding job at an exploitative company, finding his only escape and joy in playing a hack-and-slash game called “Brave of Kingdom”.
A Sudden Reincarnation and a Doomed Fate
One day, while immersed in his favorite game, the man experiences an inexplicable phenomenon. He suddenly awakens to find himself transported into the very world of “Brave of Kingdom,” but not as a hero or a powerful ally. Instead, he has been reincarnated as General Zeorg, the game’s evil general, characterized by a muscular build and a full beard. Adding to his predicament, Zeorg is a character destined for a grim fate, fated to be defeated by the game’s hero alongside other minor antagonists.
Defying Destiny: A Battle Against the “Bad Ending”
Armed with his real-world survival instincts honed in a tough workplace environment and an extensive knowledge of “Brave of Kingdom,” the newly reincarnated Zeorg is determined to challenge his predetermined downfall. His mission is clear: to meticulously avoid the “bad ending” that awaits him in this hack-and-slash game world. This premise promises a blend of strategic gameplay knowledge and real-world ingenuity applied to a fantastical setting.
