The highly anticipated anime adaptation, Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring, has unveiled a captivating new autumn visual and a promotional video, offering fans a deeper look into the world created by Violet Evergarden author Kana Akatsuki. The new assets highlight the characters associated with the season of fall, further building anticipation for the WIT STUDIO production.

A Glimpse into Autumn with Nadeshiko and Rindo

Released on Monday, October 6, 2025, the latest visual features the Agent of Autumn, Nadeshiko Iwaizuki, alongside her loyal Guard, Rindō Azami. The artwork depicts Nadeshiko crowning Rindō with a wreath, encapsulating a serene yet poignant moment of the autumn season. Accompanying the visual is a new video, providing an animated look at the autumn aesthetic and characters.

This autumn reveal follows previous character visuals and videos that introduced the spring and summer agents, steadily building the complete picture of the series’ seasonal lineup.

Delving into the World of Agents of the Four Seasons

Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring (Japanese: Shunkashuutou Daikosha) is based on the acclaimed light novel series written by Kana Akatsuki and illustrated by Suoh. Akatsuki is renowned for her work on Violet Evergarden, setting high expectations for the narrative depth and emotional resonance of this new fantasy romance. The anime is being produced by WIT STUDIO, known for its exceptional animation in series like Ranking of Kings and Spy x Family.

Key Production Staff

The creative team bringing this enchanting world to life includes:

  • Director: Ken Yamamoto, known for his work on Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Beginning of a New Era and Pokémon: Hisuian Snow.
  • Animation Advisor: Kazuhiro Furuhashi, who has contributed to titles such as Dororo and Spy x Family.
  • Series Composition: Ayumu Hisao, recognized for I’m in Love with the Villainess.
  • Character Designer: Namiko Torii.

Other notable staff include Yūsuke Takeda (Bamboo) as Art Director, Ayaka Nakamura (WIT STUDIO) for Color Design, and Keisuke Nozawa (Graphinica Sapporo Studio) as Director of Photography.

The Lore of the Seasons

The core premise of Agents of the Four Seasons revolves around a world where seasons are personified by “Agents” who wield divine powers to circulate the seasons across the land. Yen Press, which licenses both the light novels and manga in English, describes the first volume, Dance of Spring, with a compelling myth: “Winter was once the only season in the world—but such an existence was too lonely to bear, and so it created Spring to love. Before long, the earth wished for more time to rest in the cycle, and Summer and Autumn were born.”

The narrative specifically follows Hinagiku, the Agent of Spring, who disappeared for a decade, causing spring to vanish with her. Her eventual return and journey to restore the seasonal cycle form the emotional heart of the story.

From Award-Winning Novels to Manga Adaptation

The original light novel series by Kana Akatsuki has garnered significant recognition, including topping the New Title category in the 2022 edition of Takarajimasha’s Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! guidebook. The series, published under KADOKAWA’s Dengeki Bunko label since 2021, currently spans eight volumes.

In addition to the anime, a manga adaptation of Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring by Nappa Komatsuda launched in Hakusensha’s LaLa magazine in July 2022, with Yen Press also releasing the manga in English. A separate manga titled Shunka Shūtō Daikōsha Moka Momoyo by Yuriko Asami also began serialization in May 2023.

While excitement builds with these new seasonal reveals, a specific release date for the Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring anime has yet to be confirmed. Fans eagerly await further announcements regarding the broadcast schedule for this highly anticipated series.
