A new preview video for the highly anticipated “Aikatsu! x PriPara THE MOVIE -Deai no Kiseki!” has been released, showcasing two vibrant stage performances from the upcoming idol crossover film. The movie, celebrating the 10th anniversary of both franchises, is set to premiere in Japan on October 10, 2025.

A Decade of Idol Magic: The Crossover Event

The “Aikatsu! x PriPara THE MOVIE -Deai no Kiseki!” (translated as “Aikatsu! x PriPara THE MOVIE -The Miracle of Encounters!”) marks a significant milestone, bringing together the beloved idol franchises “Aikatsu!” and “PriPara” for their first-ever theatrical collaboration. Both series launched in 2014, making this film a special 10th-anniversary “dream project.”

The film promises an original story and new live performances, allowing fans to witness a miraculous encounter between two worlds that were never meant to intersect. The movie’s narrative centers around Akari Ōzora from “Aikatsu!” and Laala Manaka from “PriPara,” as their worlds collide in a joint live festival. A system issue causes trouble, preventing Laala from performing her PriPara change, leading to unforeseen challenges and emotional moments.

Unveiling the Stage: What the New Video Shows

While the initial prompt mentioned a new video showing “two stage performances,” the search results primarily indicate the release of a “first full trailer” or “official trailer” that features parts of new songs and performances, rather than a separate video specifically highlighting two distinct full stage performances.

The recently released full trailer offers a glimpse into the dazzling musical numbers that will be featured in the film. It includes a segment of the main theme song, “Happy Tuning,” performed by a supergroup of vocalists including Ruka Endō, Rie Fujishiro, Miki Mirai, Himika Akenaya (as Laala Manaka), Yū Serizawa, and Miyu Kubota. This showcases the energetic and harmonious collaboration between the idols from both universes.

Key Characters and Voice Cast

The film features a star-studded cast of voice actors reprising their roles from both “Aikatsu!” and “PriPara.”

From Aikatsu!:

  • Akari Ōzora voiced by Shino Shimoji
  • Sumire Hikami voiced by Yū Wakui
  • Hinaki Shinjo voiced by Yui Ishikawa
  • And many more, including Juri Kurebayashi, Rin Kurosawa, Madoka Amahane, Nono Daichi, Risa Shirakaba, Miyabi Fujiwara, Kokone Kurisu, and Nina Dōjima.

From PriPara:

  • Laala Manaka voiced by Himika Akenaya
  • Mirei Minami voiced by Yū Serizawa
  • Sophie Hōjō voiced by Miyu Kubota
  • And a comprehensive list of other beloved characters such as Shion Tōdō, Dorothy West, Reona West, Aroma Kurosu, Mikan Shiratama, Gaaruru, Hibiki Shikyōin, Falulu, and Fuwari Midorikaze.

The Creative Team Behind the Collaboration

The film is being produced at BN Pictures, known for its work on both “Aikatsu!” and “PriPara” animated series.

  • Director: Takahiro Ōkawa, who has previously worked on “Aikatsu Friends!” and “Aikatsu on Parade!”
  • Scenario Writer: Michihiro Tsuchiya, recognized for his contributions to “Cinderella Boy” and “Kaleido Star.”
  • Supervisors: Ryuichi Kimura (from “Aikatsu!”) and Makoto Moriwaki (from “PriPara”), ensuring that both franchises’ spirits are faithfully represented.
  • Character Designers: Hiroko Yaguchi and Shōji Hara.
  • 3DCG Production: Tatsunoko Production.

The main theme song is “Happy Tuning,” and the ending theme song is “Pretty x Activity,” both performed by a combined group of idol voice actors.

Release and Expectations

“Aikatsu! x PriPara THE MOVIE -Deai no Kiseki!” is scheduled for a nationwide release in Japan on October 10, 2025. The movie is distributed by Bandai Namco Pictures and Avex Pictures. Fans are eagerly anticipating this “dream project” that promises a blend of serious idol feelings, new and old characters, and a spectacular visual and musical experience. The film’s tagline, “A dream project filled with 10 years of love embarks!”, perfectly encapsulates the excitement surrounding this unique collaboration.
