The highly anticipated second season of the anime series, Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You (Douse, Koishite Shimaunda), is slated to premiere in January 2026. Crunchyroll has announced it will simulcast the new season across numerous territories, including North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, India, and Southeast Asia.

The announcement of a second season was initially made shortly after the conclusion of the first season’s final episode in March 2025, generating significant excitement among its fanbase. Adding to the anticipation, a new key visual was released in August 2025, featuring the four male protagonists: Kizuki, Shin, Airu, and Shugo.
Special Premiere at Anime Frontier 2025
Before its official broadcast, Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You Season 2 will have a special premiere screening at Anime Frontier 2025. This event is scheduled to take place in Fort Worth, Texas, from December 12-14, with the Season 2 premiere specifically set for December 14. This offers an early glimpse for attendees before the wider January 2026 release.
Production Team and Cast Details
The animation production for Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You Season 2 continues under the helm of Studio TYPHOON GRAPHICS. Junichi Yamamoto, known for his work on More than a Married Couple, but Not Lovers, is confirmed to return as the director. Yu Murai is in charge of series composition, Io Shiiba handles character designs, and Keiji Inai composes the music, maintaining continuity from the first season.

Synopsis of the Series
Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You is based on the shojo manga series by Haruka Mitsui, which began serialization in Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine in November 2020. Kodansha USA releases an English-language version of the manga.
The story revolves around Mizuho Nishino, a high school second-year who experiences a particularly challenging 17th birthday. Her parents forget, her attempts to get closer to her crush are thwarted, and school events are canceled due to a new disease. Convinced she’ll never have the vibrant youth she desires, her childhood friend, Kizuki, unexpectedly asks her out, setting the stage for a compelling school youth romance among four childhood friends. The series explores themes of crushes, nostalgia, and friendship amidst unusual circumstances.
