The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra: World Conquest Starts with the Civilization of Ruin successfully premiered on July 6, 2025, bringing its unique blend of isekai and 4X strategy game elements to viewers worldwide. The series began its broadcast in Japan on Tokyo MX and BS NTV, with Crunchyroll streaming the episodes internationally.

Premiere Details and Global Availability

Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra officially launched its first episode on July 6, 2025, at 10:30 p.m. JST, airing on Tokyo MX and BS NTV in Japan. For audiences outside of Asia, Crunchyroll is the primary platform for streaming the series, making it accessible to a global fanbase. Muse Communication has licensed the series for release in South and Southeast Asia. New episodes are following a weekly release schedule.

The anime is based on the popular light novel series penned by Fehu Kazuno and illustrated by Jun, which began serialization as a web novel in November 2017 before being published as a light novel series in 2019. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Yasaiko Midorihana, also started serialization in March 2020.

Plot Overview: Rebuilding an Evil Civilization

The narrative of Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra centers on Takuto Ira, a young man who succumbs to illness and finds himself reincarnated into “Eternal Nations,” his favorite fantasy turn-based strategy game. Instead of an ordinary rebirth, Takuto awakens as the ruler of Mynoghra, a civilization within the game described as “evil.” Alongside his loyal and powerful demonic retainer, Atou, Takuto embarks on a mission to establish and expand Mynoghra, facing the challenges of rebuilding a civilization with inherently difficult race traits. The series sets itself apart from typical isekai stories by focusing on a 4X strategy game framework, reminiscent of titles like Sid Meier’s Civilization, where the protagonist must explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate to achieve world conquest.

Production Team and Voice Cast

The anime adaptation is produced by Maho Film, known for its work on other fantasy series. Yūji Yanase (known for directing If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord and By the Grace of the Gods) serves as the director, bringing his expertise to the project. The series composition is handled by Yuka Yamada and Kunihiko Okada, ensuring the adaptation maintains the essence of the original story. Character designs are provided by Kaho Deguchi, with music composed by Kujira Yumemi and Midori Narikiyo.

The main voice cast features:

  • Toshiki Kumagai as Takuto Ira
  • Tomori Kusunoki as Sludge Witch Atou
  • Kikuko Inoue as Isla
  • Rico Sasaki as Emle
  • Kaori Maeda as Maria
  • Kanon Takao as Caria
  • Shinji Kawada as Gia
  • Tomomichi Nishimura as Moltar

The opening theme song, “Majestic Catastrophe,” is performed by Rico Sasaki, while Takuma Terashima performs the ending theme song, “more than W.”
