The highly anticipated “Arknights: Rise from Ember” TV anime, the third season based on the popular tactical RPG mobile game, has revealed its creditless opening sequence video ahead of its premiere on July 4, 2025.
The opening theme song, titled “End of Days,” is performed by ReoNa. This preview offers fans an early glimpse into the visual and auditory experience of the new season.
Produced by Yostar Pictures, the anime continues the adaptation of Chinese developer Hypergryph’s “Arknights” mobile game. Yuki Watanabe directs the series, with Masaki Nishikawa serving as assistant director. Aya Takafuji is responsible for the animation character designs, and Yuki Hayashi composes the music.
“Arknights: Rise from Ember” is set to adapt the latter half of the Main Theme’s Act I: Shatter of a Vision story arc, specifically focusing on the events of Episode 07 and 08 of the game’s narrative. The series will air on various Japanese channels, including Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, BS11, and Animax, with Crunchyroll streaming the anime starting July 4.
The story of “Arknights” is set in the world of Terra, a realm constantly plagued by devastating Catastrophes that compel most of its population to reside in nomadic cities. These Catastrophes also bring forth Originium, a powerful mineral that, while a valuable energy source, also causes a deadly, incurable disease known as Oripathy. The narrative centers around the lives of individuals infected with Oripathy and the efforts of Rhodes Island, a pharmaceutical company, to find a cure and combat a growing rebellion.
