The highly anticipated TV anime, Arknights: Rise from Ember, the third season based on Hypergryph’s popular mobile game Arknights, has officially revealed its opening sequence video. The opening theme song, “End of Days,” is performed by ReoNa.
The new season is set to premiere on July 4, 2025. It will debut on Tokyo MX at 11:30 p.m. JST, with broadcasts also scheduled for KBS Kyoto and Sun TV on the same evening. BS11 will air the series starting July 6, and Animax will follow on August 2. Crunchyroll will stream Arknights: Rise from Ember starting July 4.
Arknights: Rise from Ember continues the anime adaptation of the strategic tower defense mobile game, picking up where Arknights: Perish in Frost left off. The series is directed by Yuki Watanabe at animation studio Yostar Pictures, with Masaki Nishikawa serving as assistant director. Aya Takafuji is responsible for the animation character designs, and Yuki Hayashi composes the music. The ending theme song for the series is “Truth,” performed by Hana Itoki.
The anime’s plot centers on the lives of individuals infected with Oripathy, a wasting disease caused by prolonged exposure to the rare mineral Originium. Rhodes Island, a roving medical company, offers assistance and a sanctuary for the often-shunned Infected. However, they frequently engage in paramilitary actions against the Reunion Movement, a terrorist organization employing violent tactics against governments that oppress the Infected. The story of Arknights: Rise from Ember specifically adapts the latter half of the “Main Theme’s Act I: Shatter of a Vision” arc, covering events from Episodes 07 and 08 of the game’s story.
The voice cast for the anime includes Yuki Kaida as Doctor, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Amiya, Maaya Sakamoto as Talulah, Shizuka Ishigami as Ch’en, Yōko Hikasa as Kal’tsit, Yui Ogura as Rosmontis, Yuuka Nanri as Theresa, Ayana Taketatsu as W, Kiyono Yasuno as Hoshiguma, Kōichi Yamadera as Wei Yenwu, Noriko Hidaka as Fumizuki, Chiaki Kobayashi as Guard, Ayahi Takagaki as FrostNova, Banjō Ginga as Patriot, Aya Uchida as Alina, Kōhei Amasaki as Mephisto, and Shun Horie as Faust.
