The highly anticipated TV anime “Arknights: Rise from Ember,” the third season based on Chinese developer Hypergryph’s popular mobile game Arknights, has officially revealed its opening sequence video. The video features the opening theme song “End of Days,” performed by ReoNa.
The unveiling of the opening sequence comes ahead of the anime’s debut on July 4, 2025. “Arknights: Rise from Ember” is set to premiere at 11:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX, with subsequent airings on KBS Kyoto and Sun TV later the same evening. It will also be broadcast on BS11 starting July 6 and Animax from August 2. Crunchyroll will stream the anime globally, beginning July 4.
About “Arknights: Rise from Ember”
“Arknights: Rise from Ember” continues the anime adaptation of the strategic tower defense mobile game. The series is set in the dystopian world of Terra, where rare and devastating Catastrophes force most of the population into nomadic cities. These Catastrophes also bring forth Originium, a powerful mineral that, while valuable, causes a deadly and incurable disease known as Oripathy. The narrative focuses on the lives of those infected with Oripathy and the efforts of Rhodes Island, a pharmaceutical company, to find a cure and combat the militant Reunion Movement.
This third season follows “Arknights: Prelude to Dawn,” which premiered in October 2022, and “Arknights: Perish in Frost,” which debuted in October 2023.
Production and Cast
Yostar Pictures is the animation studio behind “Arknights: Rise from Ember.” Yuki Watanabe directs the series, with Masaki Nishikawa serving as assistant director. Aya Takafuji is responsible for the animation character designs, while Yuki Hayashi provides the music. The series is based on the original work by Hypergryph and Studio Montagne.
