The official staff for Arknights: RISE FROM EMBER, the third anime season based on Hypergryph’s popular Arknights mobile game, unveiled the anime’s opening sequence video on Friday, June 27, 2025. The opening theme song, titled “End of Days,” is performed by ReoNa.
The new season is scheduled to debut on July 4, 2025, at 11:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX, with subsequent airings on KBS Kyoto and Sun TV. It will also be available for streaming on Crunchyroll starting July 4.
About Arknights: RISE FROM EMBER
Arknights: RISE FROM EMBER continues the anime adaptation of the strategic RPG mobile game. The series is directed by Yuki Watanabe at animation studio Yostar Pictures, with Masaki Nishikawa serving as assistant director. Aya Takafuji is responsible for the animation character designs, and Yuki Hayashi composes the music. The original work is credited to Hypergryph and Studio Montagne.
The story of Arknights is set in the world of Terra, plagued by devastating Catastrophes that force most people to reside in nomadic cities. These Catastrophes also yield Originium, a valuable but dangerous mineral that causes a wasting disease known as Oripathy in those with prolonged exposure. Rhodes Island, a roving medical company, offers assistance and refuge to the Infected, often engaging in paramilitary actions against the Reunion Movement, a terrorist organization that targets governments oppressing the Infected.
Previous Seasons and Music
Arknights: RISE FROM EMBER follows two previous anime seasons. The first season, Arknights: Prelude to Dawn, premiered in October 2022 and consisted of eight episodes, with ReoNa also performing its opening theme, “Alive”. The second season, Arknights: Perish in Frost, debuted in October 2023, also with eight episodes, and featured Myth & Roid’s “Ache in Pulse” as its opening theme and ReoNa’s “R.I.P.” as its ending theme. For Arknights: RISE FROM EMBER, Hana Itoki performs the ending theme song “Truth.”
