Production and Storyline
Yostar Pictures, the animation studio behind the previous Arknights anime adaptations, returns to produce Arknights: Rise from Ember. Yuki Watanabe is directing the series, with Masaki Nishikawa serving as assistant director. Aya Takafuji is responsible for the animation character designs, and Yuki Hayashi is composing the music. The series is based on the original work by Hypergryph and Studio Montagne, the creators of the popular mobile game.
Arknights: Rise from Ember adapts the second half of the Main Theme’s Act I: Shatter of a Vision story arc, specifically covering the events of Episode 07 and 08 of the game’s narrative. The story continues to follow the pharmaceutical company Rhodes Island as they navigate a world plagued by the incurable Oripathy disease and the ongoing conflict with the Reunion Movement. The narrative sees Amiya and her allies venturing into the central area of Chernobog, near Lungmen.
