The upcoming anime adaptation of Sora Suigetsu and DeeCHA’s light novel series, Yūsha Party o Tsuihō Sareta Shiro Madōshi, S-Rank Bōkensha ni Hirowareru: Kono Shiro Madōshi ga Kikakugai Sugiru (The White Mage Who was Banished From the Hero’s Party is Picked Up by an S-Rank Adventurer: This White Mage is Too Out of the Ordinary!), has revealed two additional cast members. The series is scheduled to premiere in July on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, and BS Fuji, and will also be available for streaming on the d Anime Store.

Production Details
Felix Film is handling the animation for the series, with Hiroshi Tamada serving as the director. Akihiko Inari is in charge of the series scripts, and Yūta Itō is the character designer. Additional staff members include Hozumi Goda as sound director, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi and Tsubasa Handa as music composers.
About the Anime
Yūsha Party o Tsuihō Sareta Shiro Madōshi follows Lloyd, a white mage who is expelled from the hero’s party. Despite being a disciple of a missing great sage with exceptional support magic abilities, the hero’s party underestimates him. After his banishment, Lloyd becomes an adventurer, unaware of his true potential.
The original light novel series by Sora Suigetsu and DeeCHA debuted on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in March 2020. Futabasha began publishing the series in print in November 2020 under the M Novels imprint. A manga adaptation by Wasabi Mukuno has been serialized on Futabasha’s Gaugau Monster website since May 2021.
“Banished From the Hero’s Party” Background
Banished from the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside is another anime series based on a light novel series. Written by Zappon and illustrated by Yasumo, it began as a web novel in October 2017 on Shōsetsuka ni Narō before being acquired by Kadokawa Shoten.
The first season of the anime adaptation, produced by Wolfsbane and Studio Flad, aired from October to December 2021. A second season, directed by Satoshi Takafuji with Makoto Hoshino as chief director and Studio Flad returning, aired from January 7 to March 24, 2024. Crunchyroll streamed the second season.
The story follows Red, who is banished from the hero’s party and decides to live a quiet life in the countryside, running an apothecary. He lives with Rit, his love interest, and his sister Ruti.
