Plot Overview
The story of “Betrothed to My Sister’s Ex” centers around Marie, the neglected younger daughter of Baron Shederan. She is treated like a servant and forced to wear tattered clothing, leading a difficult life in her own home. One day, at her birthday party, Marie meets Count Kyuros Granado, a wealthy nobleman. Due to her appearance, Kyuros mistakes her for a maid but is captivated by her sincerity.
A misunderstanding leads Kyuros to propose marriage to Marie’s glamorous older sister, Anastasia. However, tragedy strikes when Anastasia dies in a carriage accident before the wedding. To salvage the situation, Marie is compelled by her family to take her sister’s place as Kyuros’s fiancée.
Unbeknownst to Kyuros, Marie is the woman he truly admired from the start. As they navigate their new relationship, Marie struggles with low self-esteem, believing that Kyuros only loved her sister. Kyuros, on the other hand, endeavors to show Marie that she is the one he truly desires.
