The upcoming TV anime adaptation of Umikaze Minamino’s light novel series, Kunon the Sorcerer Can See (魔術師クノンは見えている, Majutsu-shi Kunon wa Mieteiru), has revealed its main cast. The series follows Kunon, a blind boy who aims to use water magic to gain sight, and his journey as he surpasses his teacher and becomes a disciple to a powerful magician.

The anime’s official website and social media accounts announced the main voice cast, featuring:
- Saori Hayami as Kunon Gurion: Hayami, known for her roles in SPY x FAMILY and Demon Slayer, will voice the titular character, Kunon. She commented on the character, stating, “Kunon is a fascinating character. He often says outrageous things with a smile, yet he also makes sharp, insightful remarks. Sometimes, he shows a more childlike side, making him a difficult but incredibly compelling character.”
- Maaya Uchida as Iko: Uchida, recognized for her work in Food Wars! and The Quintessential Quintuplets, will play Iko, Kunon’s energetic and supportive maid. Uchida said about her role, “Iko is full of energy, always bright, and constantly supporting Kunon. She plays a huge role in shaping him into the person he becomes, with her endless affection and humor.”
Both Hayami and Uchida are scheduled to appear at a special stage event for the anime during AnimeJapan 2025 on March 23.

Kadokawa announced the anime adaptation on January 24, 2025. While a specific release date has not yet been announced, predictions point towards a late 2025 or early 2026 premiere.
