Call of the Night Season 2 Episode 5 officially premiered on Friday, August 1, 2025. Fans can stream new episodes of the supernatural romance series on HIDIVE, with Crunchyroll also carrying the simulcast. The anime continues to explore the nocturnal adventures of Ko Yamori and the enigmatic vampire Nazuna Nanakusa, delving deeper into vampire lore and character backstories.

Release Schedule and Where to Watch

Call of the Night Season 2 began airing on July 4, 2025, and is scheduled for a total of 12 episodes. New episodes are released weekly on Fridays.

Streaming Platforms

  • HIDIVE: New episodes premiere on Fridays at 9:00 a.m. PDT / 12:00 p.m. EDT with English subtitles, followed by English dubs at a later date.
  • Crunchyroll: Also simulcasts new episodes weekly.
  • Other Platforms: ABEMA, Fuji TV, Okayama Broadcasting, Kagoshima TV, Prime Video, and FOD/TVer also carry the series in Japan and for international streaming.

What to Expect in Season 2

Season 2 of Call of the Night is anticipated to cover the “Cigarette Case Arc” from the manga. The narrative will likely delve further into Nazuna’s past and introduce new characters, such as Haru Nanakusa, a nurse voiced by Maaya Uchida, who holds a key to Nazuna’s history. The previous episode (Episode 4) explored Kabura’s origin story and her transformation by Haru Nanakusa, indicating that Episode 5 will continue to explore her adjustment to her new life.

Production Team and Music

The core production team from the first season has returned for Call of the Night Season 2. Tomoyuki Itamura is directing the series at LIDENFILMS, with Michiko Yokote handling the scripts and Haruka Sagawa on character designs. Yoshiaki Dewa is once again composing the music. Japanese hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts, who famously provided the opening and ending themes for Season 1, return with the opening theme “Mirage” and the ending theme “Nemure” for Season 2.

The Manga’s Journey and Future

The Call of the Night anime is based on the manga series written and illustrated by Kotoyama. The manga concluded its serialization in Weekly Shonen Sunday in January 2024, after running from August 2019 and spanning 20 volumes.

Despite the manga’s conclusion, a new short story series titled Call of the Night: Paradise Arc began serialization in Weekly Shōnen Sunday on July 2, 2025. This new arc is planned as a short-term serialization to promote the start of the TV anime’s second season. Viz Media holds the English licensing rights for the manga in North America.
