The announcement, made via the anime’s main promotional video and official website, also revealed that the series will air as a split two-cour broadcast, indicating a planned break between its two parts.
October 7 Premiere and Broadcast Details
Fans can mark their calendars for October 7 for the initial broadcast of Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle. The series will debut on multiple Japanese television networks, including AT-X, Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, Fukui Broadcasting, TV Aichi, and BS11. The decision for a split two-cour run means the anime will air for a season, go on hiatus, and then return for its second part, a common practice for series aiming for higher production quality or longer narrative arcs.
Theme Songs and New Cast Members Revealed
The main promotional video not only confirmed the premiere date and broadcast format but also offered a preview of the anime’s musical themes and introduced additional voice cast members. Kucci will perform the opening theme song titled “Liar,” while Cidergirl is set to perform the ending theme song “Kagerō” (Heat Haze).
Two new additions to the cast were also unveiled: Yohei Azakami will voice Kuranosuke Iwanami, and Masaya Miyazaki will take on the role of Kenta Yamazaki. The anime is being brought to life by studio feel., known for its work on various animated series. Yuji Tokuno is directing the series, with Naruhisa Arakawa handling the series composition. Yen Press has licensed both the original light novel series and its manga adaptation by Bobcat for English publication, providing an accessible way for international audiences to enjoy the story.
The plot centers around Saku Chitose, a high school student at Fujishi High, one of the prefecture’s top preparatory schools. Saku is exceptionally gifted in academics, sports, and social skills, making him the most popular student. His seemingly perfect life takes a turn when a teacher asks him to help a withdrawn student, Kenta Yamazaki, reintegrate into school life. The series follows Saku and his group of popular friends, affectionately known as “Team Chitose,” as they navigate high school and assist other students with their challenges, all set against the backdrop of Fukui prefecture.
