The highly anticipated television anime adaptation of HYBE and ENHYPEN’s popular webtoon, Dark Moon: The Blood Altar, has officially revealed its main cast, key staff, and confirmed a January 2026 debut. The announcements were made during the recent Aniplex Online Fest event, accompanied by a new video, key visual, and trailer.
The series, which blends urban fantasy with teen romance, is set to be streamed by Crunchyroll across North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS regions.
Unveiling the Voices: The Main Cast
The anime adaptation will feature a talented lineup of voice actors bringing the mysterious characters to life. The main cast includes:

The Lore of Dark Moon: The Blood Altar
Dark Moon: The Blood Altar originates from a webtoon created by HYBE in collaboration with Naver Webtoon, with its characters and storyline inspired by the South Korean boy band ENHYPEN. The webtoon, which ran for 70 chapters from January 2022 to August 2023, has garnered significant attention, with Yen Press publishing English physical volumes.
The story is described as a compelling mix of urban fantasy and teen romance, revolving around “the confrontation, confusion, and chemistry between a group of vampires, a pack of werewolves, and a mysterious girl with a secret”. The narrative unfolds in Riverfield, where two rival schools are home to vampires and werewolves. A new transfer student named Sooha, who possesses hidden superhuman abilities, finds herself inexplicably drawn to these supernatural factions, particularly a student named Heli and his friends. As strange incidents begin to plague the town, the boys’ forgotten pasts slowly come to light, altering their world forever.
The upcoming anime is part of a larger “Dark Moon” series, which also includes prequels and spin-offs, further expanding the rich universe inspired by the K-pop group ENHYPEN.
