Seven Seas Entertainment is adding a chilling new title to its manga lineup. The publisher recently announced the acquisition of “Tonight, I Have a Date with a Serial Killer,” along with three other new licenses. This suspenseful manga promises a thrilling ride, blending crime, mystery, and a touch of the supernatural. Let’s dive into the details of this exciting new addition and the other titles joining the Seven Seas family.

“Tonight, I Have a Date with a Serial Killer”: A Synopsis

“Tonight, I Have a Date with a Serial Killer” (Konya mo Serial Killer to Machiawase) is written by Kon Iguchi and illustrated by Yuji Nakamura. Set against a backdrop of rising crime, the story follows Shiro Isogai, a police officer haunted by the brutal murder of his fiancée. His life takes an unexpected turn when a mysterious informant begins to surface, providing crucial information that leads to the capture of serial killers.

Isogai sees this as his chance for closure and decides to team up with the informant. However, he’s surprised to find that his secretive ally is a young woman named Kuroi Hinata, who possesses a unique “sixth sense” that allows her to identify serial killers. Together, Isogai and Hinata embark on a dangerous hunt for the city’s deadliest criminals, hoping to find the clues that will lead them to Isogai’s fiancée’s killer.

Seven Seas Entertainment has announced that Volume 1 of “Tonight, I Have a Date with a Serial Killer” is scheduled for release in March 2026. The manga will be available in single volume editions, both in print and as an ebook.

The Allure of Serial Killer Manga

The serial killer theme has always held a strange fascination in popular culture. Manga is no exception. Works like “Death Note”, and “Yuureitou” have garnered considerable popularity by delving into the minds of both the hunters and the hunted.

These stories often explore the darker aspects of human nature, raising questions about justice, morality, and the motivations behind heinous crimes. “Tonight, I Have a Date with a Serial Killer” seems poised to join this ranks, offering a unique twist with its supernatural element and the unlikely partnership between a grieving police officer and a woman with a sixth sense.

More New Licenses from Seven Seas

Alongside “Tonight, I Have a Date with a Serial Killer,” Seven Seas Entertainment has also announced the acquisition of three other new titles:

  • We Are Not Beasts (Ore-tachi wa Kemono Janai) manga by Shoko Rakuta: This mature-rated Boys’ Love manga centers around two alpha brothers, Onizuka Raita and Fuuta, who are both infatuated with Kazusa, a delicate-looking omega. Despite his appearance, Kazusa has a strong sense of justice and wishes to be seen as more than just an omega in need of protection. The story takes a turn when Kazusa unexpectedly experiences his first heat, and his doctor reveals that his fated mate is likely nearby. “We Are Not Beasts” will be released under the Seven Seas BL Label in March 2026.

  • Fluffy Café in Another World (Isekai Mofumofu Cafe) light novel and manga by Punichan, Tobi, and Yuu Takaoka: This heartwarming Isekai tale follows Arima Taichi, a salaryman who meets an untimely end and is reincarnated into a magical world. However, his dream isn’t to become a hero or a powerful mage, but to open a fluffy café. This series promises a cozy and comforting escape into a world of cute creatures and delicious treats.

  • Perfect Addiction Boys’ Love Manga Series by Kaoruko Miyama: This Mature-rated Boys’ Love manga delves into the complexities of pleasure and addiction. What begins as a challenge soon evolves into an obsession for two men as they discover that the key to gratification transcends mere physical indulgence.

Seven Seas Entertainment: Expanding Horizons

Seven Seas Entertainment has become a prominent name in the manga and light novel publishing industry. Founded in 2004 by Jason DeAngelis, the company initially focused on original English-language manga but has since expanded to include licensed manga and light novels from Japan, as well as select webcomics.

Over the years, Seven Seas has introduced several imprints to cater to diverse tastes, including:

  • Ghost Ship: For mature-rated titles.
  • Airship: For light novels and Japanese prose novels.
  • Steamship: For shōjo, josei, and teen romance manga.
  • Seven Seas BL Label: For Boys’ Love titles.

In recent years, Seven Seas has also ventured into licensing manhua from China, Korean webtoons, and Danmei novels, further diversifying its catalog and appealing to a broader audience.

Looking Ahead to 2026

With these new licenses, Seven Seas Entertainment is gearing up for an exciting 2026. Fans can look forward to a diverse range of titles, from the suspenseful “Tonight, I Have a Date with a Serial Killer” to the heartwarming “Fluffy Café in Another World” and the steamy “We Are Not Beasts”. As Seven Seas continues to expand its catalog and explore new genres, it’s clear that the company is committed to bringing captivating stories to readers around the world.

The addition of “Tonight, I Have a Date with a Serial Killer” is particularly noteworthy, as it taps into the popular serial killer genre while offering a fresh perspective with its unique premise. Readers who enjoy crime thrillers with a supernatural twist will undoubtedly be drawn to this manga, and its release in March 2026 is sure to be highly anticipated.
