The original science fiction TV anime “Apocalypse Hotel” has announced a new addition to its cast. Natsuki Hanae, best known for voicing Tanjiro Kamado in “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,” will be playing the role of Ponstin.
Who is Ponstin?
Ponstin is described as a serious-minded physician of the Tanuki Alien people. In the show, he appears as a tanuki disguised as a human. Episode 8 of “Apocalypse Hotel,” which aired recently, marked Ponstin’s first appearance in the anime.

“Apocalypse Hotel” is an original work created by CyberAgent and CygamesPictures. Kana Shundo is directing the series at CygamesPictures. Shigeru Murakoshi is in charge of the series composition, and Yoshiaki Fujisawa is composing the music.
Crunchyroll is currently streaming “Apocalypse Hotel” as part of its spring 2025 anime simulcast lineup.
Story
The story of “Apocalypse Hotel” is set after the collapse of civilization. In the ruins of Tokyo’s Ginza district, one hotel remains standing. Overrun by nature, the hotel continues to operate despite the downfall of humanity. Currently, there are no guests at the hotel.
