The upcoming TV anime series, Detectives These Days Are Crazy!, based on the comedy mystery manga by Masakuni Igarashi, has revealed exciting new details, including a July 2025 release window, a main promotional video, additional cast members, and the opening theme song.

Release Date and Promotional Video

The staff for the Detectives These Days Are Crazy! anime officially confirmed its release window as July 2025. This announcement coincided with the release of the anime’s main promotional video, which offered a sneak peek at the show’s animation, characters, and overall comedic tone.

Several new cast members have been announced, adding to the already stellar lineup:

Theme Song

The opening theme song for Detectives These Days Are Crazy! will be “Suffer” performed by Taiiku Okazaki.

About the Story

Detectives These Days Are Crazy! follows Keiichiro Nagumo, a once-great detective who now finds himself as a typical middle-aged man out of touch with modern technology. His life takes an unexpected turn when a high school girl named Mashiro appears, wanting to be his assistant. Together, they form an unlikely duo, solving cases and bringing a fresh perspective to the world of detective work.

The original manga series by Masakuni Igarashi began serialization in ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Maoh magazine in April 2016 and is still ongoing. The manga has been compiled into 15 Japanese volumes, with the first volume released in English on April 28, 2025.
