The anime adaptation of the popular mobile game Disney Twisted-Wonderland has generated significant buzz with its initial promotional video, which notably confirmed the series’ opening theme. While fans eagerly await a “full promo video” unveiling an ending song, current announcements primarily highlight the anime’s upcoming debut and its established musical identity.

The anime, officially titled Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation, is slated to begin streaming in October 2025, with its first season, “Episode of Heartslabyul,” premiering on October 29 exclusively on Disney+.

“Piece of my world” Set as Opening Theme

The first promotional video for Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation, which debuted at AnimeJapan 2025 in March, confirmed that the mobile game’s original theme song, “Piece of my world” by the Night Ravens, will also serve as the anime series’ opening theme. The Night Ravens are a vocal group comprising the voice actors from the Twisted-Wonderland game. This ensures a familiar and beloved sound for long-time fans transitioning from the game to the animated series. Takumi Ozawa, who composed the music for the original mobile game, is also returning to compose music for the anime series, further cementing the connection between the game and its adaptation.

Anticipation for Further Musical Announcements

As of late September 2025, a specific “full promo video” explicitly revealing an ending theme song for the Disney Twisted-Wonderland anime has not been widely announced in the available news. While the game itself continues to release new character songs and updates—such as seven new character songs and a Chapter 7.5 update unveiled at a special event in Japan in June 2025, featuring tracks like “Red Heart Rage” sung by Riddle Rosehearts and “Abyss” by Azul Ashengrotto—these are distinct from the anime’s core theme songs. Details regarding the anime’s ending song are expected to be revealed closer to its October premiere.

Anime Production and Story Details

Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation is an adaptation of the highly successful Japanese mobile game, which features characters inspired by Disney villains. The anime’s first season will focus on the “Heartslabyul Arc,” drawing from the manga series that also adapts the game’s story. The series is set at Night Raven College, a prestigious magical academy in the world of Twisted Wonderland, where protagonist Yuuken Enma, a second-year high school student and skilled kendo practitioner, finds himself inexplicably summoned.

The production staff for the anime includes Takahiro Natori (known for Tokyo Mew Mew New) as chief director and overseeing series scripts, Shin Katagai (The Ossan Newbie Adventurer) directing the series at studios Yumeta Company and Graphinica, and Yoichi Kato as the main writer. Haruka Nakano and Akane Sato are adapting Yana Toboso’s (creator of Black Butler) original character designs for animation.

The anime is confirmed for at least three seasons, with “Episode of Savanaclaw” and “Episode of Octavinelle” arcs slated to follow the initial “Episode of Heartslabyul.” The game’s original voice cast members are reprising their roles for the anime, ensuring continuity for fans. This includes Natsuki Hanae as Riddle Rosehearts, Seiichiro Yamashita as Ace Trappola, and Chiaki Kobayashi as Deuce Spade.

Fans can look forward to delving deeper into the world of Night Raven College when Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation begins its global Disney+ streaming run this October.
