This significant announcement expands upon the previously confirmed main cast and builds excitement for the series, which is set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ in October 2025.

Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation is based on the narrative adventure JRPG mobile game created by Aniplex and Walt Disney Japan. The anime has been commissioned for three seasons, each adapting a different arc from the game: “Episode of Heartslabyul,” “Episode of Savanaclaw,” and “Episode of Octavinelle.” While initial casting announcements focused on the core characters of the Heartslabyul Dorm and Night Raven College staff for Season 1, this latest reveal introduces a broader array of students and personnel from across the magical academy.

The animation for Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation is being handled by studios Yumeta Company and Graphinica, with Shin Katagai serving as director and Takahiro Natori as chief director and series script supervisor. Yoichi Kato is credited as the main writer, while Haruka Nakano and Akane Satō are adapting Yana Toboso’s original character designs for animation. The series is set to debut exclusively on Disney+ in October 2025.
