The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Disney’s popular mobile game, Disney Twisted-Wonderland, is set to debut its first season, “Episode of Heartslabyul,” on October 29, 2025. The series will be exclusively available for streaming on Disney+ worldwide, with new episodes releasing weekly.
Diving into Night Raven College
Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation brings to life the beloved world of Night Raven College, a prestigious magical academy where students are inspired by iconic Disney villains. The anime follows a protagonist, Yu (Yuken Enma), who is unexpectedly whisked away to this fantastical realm and finds themselves enrolled despite lacking magical abilities. Without a clear path back home, Yu must navigate the eccentricities of the school and its students, who are grouped into seven dormitories, each paying homage to a classic Disney villain’s legacy, such as the Queen of Hearts and Scar. The art style of the game, which is reflected in the anime, was created by manga artist Yana Toboso, known for Black Butler.
The “Episode of Heartslabyul” Arc
The inaugural season, titled “Episode of Heartslabyul,” will consist of eight episodes. This arc is inspired by Alice in Wonderland and will focus on the Heartslabyul dormitory and its residents, including its dorm leader, Riddle Rosehearts. The trailer, first revealed during AnimeJapan 2025 in March, showcased the opening theme song “Piece of my world” by Night Ravens.
