A new teaser promotional video has been released for the third and final cour of Dr. Stone: Science Future, the highly anticipated conclusion to the anime series. The promo offers a glimpse into the next stage of Senku Ishigami’s ambitious journey to rebuild civilization, confirming a 2026 broadcast window for this ultimate chapter.

The Dr. Stone: Science Future series, which is the fourth and final season of the anime, is being broadcast in three split cours, with the first two cours having aired in 2025. This upcoming third cour will bring Senku and the Kingdom of Science closer to their ultimate goal.

Senku’s Journey Towards the Moon Intensifies

The newly released teaser trailer highlights the escalating stakes as Senku and his allies set their sights on space. After discovering that the mastermind behind humanity’s petrification, “Why Man,” resides on the moon, the “Moon Landing Project” officially kicks off. The promo video emphasizes the monumental task of constructing a spacecraft from the ground up in a stone world, showcasing the series’ hallmark blend of adventure and scientific ingenuity.

Unraveling the Mysteries of the Petrification

The previous arcs of Dr. Stone: Science Future saw Senku and his team embark on a global quest for resources essential for their ambitious space mission. Their travels led them to America, where they encountered Dr. Xeno’s advanced science kingdom, leading to a clash of scientific ideals. Following this, their journey continued to South America, the suspected origin of the petrification beam, where they delved into the secrets of the “Medusa” petrification device. The third cour is expected to build upon these discoveries as the Kingdom of Science races against time and the persistent pursuit of Stanley’s forces to uncover the core of Medusa’s mystery.

Production Details and Series Background

Dr. Stone: Science Future continues to be directed by Shuhei Matsushita at TMS Entertainment, with series composition by Kurasumi Sunayama, character designs by Yuko Iwasa, and music by Tatsuya Kato, Hiroaki Tsutsumi, and Yukihiro Kanesaka.

The Dr. Stone anime is based on the popular manga series written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi. The manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2017 to March 2022, concluding with 27 tankobon volumes. The story begins thousands of years after a mysterious phenomenon turned all of humanity to stone, following the extraordinary scientific genius Senku Ishigami as he awakens and endeavors to rebuild civilization from scratch using the power of science. Crunchyroll streams all seasons of the anime, with Netflix also offering the first two seasons.

Fans can anticipate the grand finale of Senku’s scientific adventure as the third and final cour of Dr. Stone: Science Future prepares for its 2026 release.
