DXTEEN Serves Up Anime Magic with “Fermat no Ryōri” Ending Theme

The rising J-pop group DXTEEN is set to add a flavorful touch to the anime scene with their upcoming musical contribution to “Fermat no Ryōri”. The six-member boy band will perform the ending theme song for the television anime adaptation of Yugo Kobayashi’s popular manga, known for its unique blend of mathematics and cooking.

A Delicious Combination: DXTEEN and “Fermat no Ryōri”

“Fermat no Ryōri” is a manga series that has been serialized in “Monthly Shonen Magazine” since September 2018. The story follows Gaku Kitada, a genius mathematician who abandons his aspirations in mathematics, and Kai Asakura, a charismatic chef, as they navigate the culinary world. The manga’s popularity led to a television drama series in 2023, and now, an anime adaptation is on the horizon.

DXTEEN’s involvement in the anime as the ending theme artist adds another layer of excitement to the project. The group, consisting of Haru Okubo, Shotaro Tanaka, Taichi Taniguchi, Kashin Terao, Ken Hiramoto and Ayuta Fukuda, is known for their energetic performances and catchy tunes, promising an ending theme that will resonate with viewers.

Anime Details and Premiere

The “Fermat no Ryōri” anime is directed by Ichikawa Ryoya and produced by Domerica. It will premiere in July 2025 on TV Asahi’s “IMAnimation” programming block, airing every Saturday at 11:30 pm.

An advance screening of the first episode is scheduled for June 15th at Cine Libre Ikebukuro in Tokyo. Members of DXTEEN, along with voice actors Ryosuke Tomita (Gaku Kitada) and Taito Ban (Kai Asakura), will appear at the screening.

DXTEEN, formed through LAPONE Entertainment’s trainee program “LAPONE BOYS,” debuted on May 10, 2023, after training in South Korea. Their music has been gaining recognition, with their 4th single “Level Up” released in December 2024. The group has been actively engaging with fans through releases and events. Their 5th single, “Tick-Tack,” was released on May 7, 2025.

“Fermat no Ryōri” Plot and Characters

Gaku Kitada, voiced by Ryosuke Tomita, is a mathematical prodigy who once dreamed of competing in the International Mathematical Olympiad. After facing setbacks, he meets Kai Asakura, a chef who recognizes Gaku’s potential and invites him to explore the world of cooking.
