AI localization company Orange Inc., through its e-bookstore service emaqi, has officially released the romantic comedy manga Dealing with Mikadono Sisters Is a Breeze (original Japanese title: Mikadono Sanshimai wa Angai, Choroi) in English. The first two volumes of the series are currently available, with a limited-time free reading offer. This release is part of emaqi’s broader initiative to bring a wider range of manga titles, including many previously unavailable in English, to readers in the United States and Canada.
About the Manga
Dealing with Mikadono Sisters Is a Breeze is written and illustrated by Aya Hirakawa. The series has been serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine since December 2021, and as of June 2025, 14 compiled volumes have been released in Japan.
The story revolves around Yu Ayase, an ordinary high school student who, after his mother’s passing, finds himself living with the wealthy Mikadono family and their three exceptionally talented sisters. Despite their genius in various fields like acting, martial arts, and shogi, Yu discovers that the sisters are “surprisingly easy” to get along with. The manga is described as a heartwarming romantic comedy that explores how the three brilliant sisters begin to change, revealing their more vulnerable and flustered sides as they share their lives with Yu, ultimately blurring the lines between friendship and budding romance.
The Emaqi Platform
Emaqi, launched in the U.S. and Canada in September 2024, is Orange Inc.’s digital manga storefront. At its launch, the platform featured approximately 6,000 volumes from 13 publishers, with a commitment to add at least one new title previously unpublished in English every week. By May 2025, emaqi had expanded its catalog to over 13,000 manga volumes across 1,700 series, including nearly 50 exclusive titles.
The service operates on a pay-per-title model with in-app purchases available on the App Store and Google Play Store. It also provides free content, including a “Wait Until Free” system for selected titles, allowing users to unlock one chapter every 23 hours without cost, and full availability for one-shot titles. Orange Inc. employs a hybrid approach to translation, utilizing AI-assisted translation for initial drafts, which are then refined and finalized by a team of native-speaking translators and editors to ensure high-quality localization.
Anime Adaptation
In addition to the manga’s English release, Dealing with Mikadono Sisters Is a Breeze is also receiving a television anime adaptation. The anime is produced by P.A. Works and is set to premiere on July 9, 2025. Crunchyroll has licensed the series and will stream it as it airs, also providing an English dub.
