Diving into “Even a Replica Can Fall in Love”
“Even a Replica Can Fall in Love” tells a bittersweet romance story centered on a girl created as a substitute, exploring themes of identity, emotion, and youth. The narrative delves into the replica’s journey as she falls in love, despite her existence being initially “borrowed and empty.” Yen Press publishes the English version of the light novels, describing the story as one where a replica takes the place of another when she’s unwell, eventually developing her own feelings.
The light novel series, written by Harunadon and illustrated by raemz, began publication under ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko imprint in February 2023. A manga adaptation by Momose Hanada has also been serialized since April 2023.
