The highly anticipated final season of Fire Force is set to premiere on April 4, bringing with it a new opening theme song, “High Flame,” performed by Queen Bee. A trailer released during IGN Fan Fest 2025 revealed the debut date and offered a sneak peek at the upcoming season. The Fire Force anime, adapted from Atsushi Ohkubo’s manga, follows a special fire force team battling spontaneous human combustion in Tokyo.

The first part of Fire Force Season 3 will premiere on April 4, with the second part scheduled for January 2026. Crunchyroll will stream the anime in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS. The series will air on MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS in Japan.

Queen Bee to Perform “High Flame” Opening Theme
Queen Bee is performing the opening theme song “High Flame” (Tsuyobi) for the first part of Fire Force Season 3. Avu from Queen Bee shared their excitement: “I was fortunate to have the opportunity to write a song called ‘Strong Flame’, perhaps because I had a connection with fire… No matter how frustrating the battle, or even in everyday life, we want to keep the fire going again and again. I’m looking forward to this song, which is somewhat quiet but scorching hot, being played in the world of the work!”
Production Team and Key Visuals
Tatsuma Minamikawa returns to direct the final season at David Production. Hideyuki Morioka is once again providing character designs, and Sei Tsuguta is working on the scripts and series composition. A new key visual has also been released, teasing the battles to come.
Story Synopsis and Premise of Fire Force
Fire Force is set in a world where people can spontaneously combust, turning into Infernals. A Special Fire Force is created to combat this threat. The story follows Shinra Kusakabe, a young man with pyrokinetic abilities who joins Company 8. As part of Company 8, Shinra works to extinguish Infernals and uncover the mysteries behind spontaneous human combustion.
Crunchyroll describes the series: “Tokyo is burning, and citizens are mysteriously suffering from spontaneous human combustion all throughout the city! Responsible for snuffing out this inferno is the Fire Force, and Shinra is ready to join their fight. Fire Force’s Connection to Soul Eater Explained
Fire Force is connected to Atsushi Ohkubo’s other manga series, Soul Eater. The Fire Force manga ending depicts Shinra creating a new world, which serves as the setting for Soul Eater. In this new world, people use souls as weapons, a core concept in Soul Eater. Easter eggs and references to Soul Eater appear throughout the Fire Force manga, solidifying the connection between the two series.
