The sci-fi social deduction RPG Gnosia is getting a TV anime adaptation, and a new trailer has revealed that it will premiere in October 2025. The trailer also unveiled the staff and cast for the anime, along with a new visual, exciting fans of the original game and newcomers alike.
Gnosia: From Indie Game to Anime Series
Gnosia began as a popular indie game developed by Petit Depotto. The game, a sci-fi “werewolf game” time loop murder mystery, garnered attention for its unique blend of social deduction and RPG elements.
Game Origins and Popularity
The original Gnosia game was released for the PS Vita in June 2019. Its success led to ports on other platforms, including the Nintendo Switch in December 2020, Steam (Windows) in January 2022, and PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in December 2023. The game’s accolades include being named the number one player in the Dengeki Indie Awards 2022.
Story and Premise
Gnosia is set on a drifting spaceship where the crew faces a mysterious and deadly threat known as the “Gnosia”. The Gnosia can disguise themselves as humans, making it difficult to identify the enemy. The crew must use social deduction skills to determine who among them is Gnosia and eliminate them by putting them into “cold sleep.” However, the risk of sacrificing innocent crew members looms large, creating a tense and strategic gameplay experience.

The Gnosia anime adaptation is directed by Kazuya Ichikawa at Domerica studio. Jukki Hanada is responsible for the series composition and scripts, while Arisa Matsuura adapts Kotori’s original character designs for animation. Hideyuki Fukasawa is composing the music.
