The teaser trailer for the second season picks up from this point, showing Yamada and others amidst mystical scenery and Gabimaru in pensive solitude.
The overarching narrative continues to follow Gabimaru the Hollow, a ninja sentenced to death, who is offered a chance at a pardon if he can retrieve the Elixir of Life from a perilous, mysterious island. He embarks on this quest with executioner Yamada Asaemon Sagiri, facing off against other dangerous convicts and the island’s demonic inhabitants, the Tensen. The upcoming season promises to delve deeper into the mysteries of Shinsenkyo and the true nature of the Tensen, escalating the life-or-death struggles for Gabimaru and his companions.
