Fans of the dark fantasy anime Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku have a new reason to anticipate the second season, as a recent trailer revealed Tatsuya Kitani and BABYMETAL will perform the opening theme song, titled “Kasuka no Hana” (Faint Flower). The announcement, made at Jump Festa 2026, also confirmed the highly anticipated season will premiere on January 11, 2026.
Tatsuya Kitani and BABYMETAL Collaborate on “Kasuka no Hana”
The upcoming second season of Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku will feature a powerful musical collaboration for its opening theme. Tatsuya Kitani, known for his work on Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, will team up with the metal idol group BABYMETAL for the song “Kasuka no Hana”. The new trailer, which debuted at Jump Festa 2026, gave viewers their first listen to the track, described as having a “heavy feel” that aligns with the anime’s dark and intense atmosphere.
Season 2 Premiere Date and Streaming Details
Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku Season 2 is set to premiere on January 11, 2026, at 11:45 p.m. JST on TV Tokyo and its affiliate channels in Japan. Japanese audiences will also be able to stream new episodes 30 minutes later on Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and Lemino. For international viewers outside of Asia, Crunchyroll has secured the streaming rights, ensuring a worldwide simulcast.
Diving Deeper into the “Lord Tensen” and “Hōrai” Arcs
The second season, produced once again by Studio MAPPA, will adapt the pivotal “Lord Tensen” and “Hōrai” arcs from Yuji Kaku’s original manga. These arcs are expected to escalate the conflict, body horror, and power dynamics, as Gabimaru the Hollow and the other convicts delve deeper into the mysteries of Shinsenkyo and confront the immortal beings known as the Tensen. The trailer itself hints at intense fight sequences and the introduction of new characters amidst the escalating struggle for the Elixir of Life.
Returning Staff and New Additions to the Cast
The core production team from the critically acclaimed first season will return for Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku Season 2. Kaori Makita is back as director, with Akira Kindaichi handling series composition, and Yoshiaki Dewa composing the music. Akitsugu Hisagi joins the staff as the new character designer for the second season.
Additionally, the new season will introduce four new Yamada Asaemon executioners, expanding the ensemble cast. Ryōta Suzuki will voice Yamada Asaemon Shugen, Kōji Yusa as Yamada Asaemon Jikka, Maaya Uchida as Yamada Asaemon Kiyomaru, and Sayaka Ōhara as Yamada Asaemon Isuzu. These new characters and their voice actors were also highlighted during the Jump Festa 2026 event.
The Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku manga, written and illustrated by Yuji Kaku, was serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform from 2018 to 2021. The first season of the anime aired from April to July 2023, garnering significant attention and praise.
