The popular autobiographical manga series Hyakushō Kizoku (百姓貴族, “The Peasant Noble”), written and illustrated by Hiromu Arakawa, is getting a third season of its anime television adaptation. Fans can look forward to its premiere in Fall 2025.
‘Hyakushō Kizoku’ Season 3 Announced
The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the Hyakushō Kizoku anime revealed the premiere window for the third season along with a new visual. The announcement was made following the finale of the second season.
What is ‘Hyakushō Kizoku’ About?
Hyakushō Kizoku is an autobiographical manga by Hiromu Arakawa, best known as the creator of Fullmetal Alchemist. The series chronicles Arakawa’s experiences growing up on a dairy farm in Hokkaido, Japan, for seven years before becoming a manga artist. The manga provides a humorous and informative look into the world of agriculture, covering topics such as:
- Dairy farming practices
- The challenges and rewards of rural life
- Agricultural trivia and anecdotes
These experiences would later inform her work on Silver Spoon, which centers around students attending an agricultural school.
Anime Adaptation
The anime adaptation of Hyakushō Kizoku is directed and written by Yūtarō Sawada at Pie in the sky animation studio. The anime is known for its short, four-minute episodes.
