The popular television anime series, I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths!, has officially been renewed for a second season. The announcement swiftly followed the broadcast of its 24th and final episode of the first season on June 29, 2025.

Continuation of an Adventurous Tale

The first season, which ran for two consecutive cours from January 12 to June 29, 2025, captivated audiences with its unique premise. The story centers on Yuke Feldio, a highly skilled red mage and alchemist who, after five years of being undervalued and ridiculed, decides to leave his A-rank party, Thunder Pike. He then unexpectedly reunites with his former students—Marina, Silk, and Rain—and joins their burgeoning D-rank party, Clover. Under Yuke’s guidance and extraordinary magical prowess, the girls begin to unlock their full potential, embarking on quests that elevate their party’s reputation. The series blends adventure and fantasy elements, showcasing Yuke’s journey as he leads his new comrades towards challenging dungeons, including their ultimate goal of conquering the formidable Achromatic Darkness.

Production and Source Material

The anime adaptation is produced by Bandai Namco Pictures, with Katsumi Ono directing the first season and Kazuyuki Fudeyasu overseeing and writing the series scripts. Masakazu Yamazaki, who designed the characters, also celebrated the second season’s announcement with a special illustration posted on the show’s official Twitter/X account. Go Sakabe is responsible for the music composition.

The I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths! anime is based on the light novel series penned by Kōsuke Unagi and illustrated by Super Zombie. The light novel series concluded on February 28, 2025, with a total of five volumes published by Kodansha. Prior to its light novel release, the story was serialized as a web novel on Shōsetsuka ni Narō from October 2020 to August 2023. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Yuri, also began serialization in June 2021 via Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website, with Kodansha USA releasing the manga digitally in North America.

Fans can anticipate further adventures with Yuke and the Clover party as they delve deeper into the world of dungeons and magic in the upcoming second season. Crunchyroll has been streaming the first season and its English dub.
