The television anime series, I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths!, has been officially renewed for a second season. The announcement closely followed the broadcast of its 24th and final episode of the first season on June 29, 2025.
The initial season, which premiered in Japan on January 12, 2025, ran for two consecutive cours. To commemorate the second season’s confirmation, a special illustration by character designer Masakazu Yamazaki was shared on the show’s official Twitter/X account.
The anime is an adaptation of the light novel series by Kosuke Unagi, with illustrations by Super Zombie. The light novel series concluded on February 28, 2025, with a total of five volumes published in Japan. A manga adaptation by Yuri also began serialization in June 2021.
The plot centers on Yuke, a red mage, who, after five years, leaves his A-rank party “Thunder Pike” due to constant insults. He then encounters his former students, Marina, Silk, and Rain, and joins their party, Clover. Encouraged by their admiration, Yuke uses his extraordinary magic and skills to guide them through quests, helping them reach their full potential. Their adventures, including an “adventure broadcast” via an artifact called Camelot, propel Clover to widespread recognition. The party’s ultimate goal is to conquer Achromatic Darkness, the most formidable dungeon.
BN Pictures handled the animation production for the first season, with Katsumi Ono directing, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu as series screenwriter, and Go Sakabe composing the music. Akira Kikuchi served as the action animation director. Crunchyroll streams the anime as it airs and also provides an English dub.
