The upcoming TV anime adaptation of Keiichirō Shibuya’s “Introduction to Mineralogy” (Ruri no Hōseki) has revealed additional cast members in a newly released promotional video. The anime, which follows a high school student’s journey into the world of mineralogy, is set to premiere in 2025.
More Voices Join the Adventure: New Cast Members Announced
The latest promotional video showcases the main duo and also introduces the voices behind new characters:
- Yume Miyamoto as Yōko Imari
- Saki Hayashi as Shōko Seto
- Misuzu Yamada as Aoi Kasamaru
These actors will join Miyari Nemoto as Ruri Tanigawa and Asami Seto as Nagi Arato, who were previously announced as the main duo.

The anime is being directed by Shingo Fujii (known for ONIMAI: I’m Now Your Sister!) at Studio Bind, which was co-founded by White Fox and Egg Firm. The studio is also known for its work on Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation.

“Introduction to Mineralogy” tells the story of Ruri, a high school student with a love for minerals and jewelry. Her life takes an exciting turn when she meets Nagi, a mineralogy graduate student. Nagi introduces Ruri to the fascinating world of mineralogy, leading her on a science adventure filled with discovery.
The original manga by Keiichirō Shibuya launched in Kadokawa’s Harta magazine in August 2019. The series concluded with the fifth and final compiled book volume released on September 13, 2024.
